In an attempt to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and to provide a safe work space, Mercersburg Academy will require employees to complete a daily health/symptom check and temperature screenings prior to reporting to their work areas on campus.
Daily Self-Temperature Screening
Employees should have a thermometer at home for personal use. If an employee is unable to secure a thermometer, they may contact Human Resources for one. Each scheduled work day, employees will take their temperature at home before coming to campus. The employee will note the temperature so as to appropriately complete the health/symptom check.
Daily Health/Symptom Check
Each scheduled work day, employees will complete the daily health check via the AUX app or via online at Daily Health Check prior to leaving their home. The direct link to the survey is also available in the Veracross faculty and staff portals. Once submitted, the employee will receive one of the following electronic prompts:
1) Thank You. Your response has been recorded.
2) STOP! Do not report to work; instead, call your supervisor and provide them with your status.
If an employee does not have access to or has issues with technology, the employee should contact their supervisor for assistance.
What to Expect?
If you do not have an elevated temperature (100.0° Fahrenheit or higher) and have completed the Daily Health Check survey noting no symptoms, you will be directed to report to your assigned work location.
What if the Daily Health Check instructs me to stay home?
Stay calm; this doesn’t mean you are infected with COVID-19. If you are prompted by the Daily Health Check to stay at home, you should immediately call your supervisor and provide them with your status. Depending on your symptoms, you may receive a phone call from Human Resources to determine if a contact tracing interview should be conducted. If you are not feeling better in a day or two, you should call your medical provider. If you don’t have a medical provider, call an urgent care facility or telemedicine.
Who has access to my Daily Health Check results?
Human Resources is the only department with access to the results of your Daily Health Check survey. The information will only be used if you marked “yes” to any of the symptoms. The results will be stored confidentially in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidance.
