Adventure Camp

An adventure camper climbing a rock face.

Take a wild ride that you’ll talk about for years.Variety is the spice of life, and at Adventure Camp, variety is an understatement. There’s never a dull moment with exciting enrichments, excursions in the great outdoors, and adventures near and far! Activities include kayaking, biking, white water rafting, a trip to Hersheypark, and much more.

MAC’s unique structure provides just the right balance of enrichment challenges, athletics, outdoor activities, and fun trips to make every session wild, wonderful, and memorable.

Meet the Director

Thomas Vickery ’18 has been involved with Mercersburg Summer Programs for 11 years—first as a camper, then as a counselor, enrichment specialist, and assistant director. He is currently a teaching aide at an elementary school in Alexandria, Virginia, pursuing his degree in education. Thomas believes camp can be an escape from everyday life that gives you the opportunity to adventure outside your comfort zone and make extraordinary memories with new friends!

Program Overview

What fun would camp be without campfires, a night of sleeping under the stars, or camp competitions?

It wouldn’t be Adventure Camp, that’s for sure. Every session, campers spend at least one night braving the wild and almost every night singing around the campfire. All campers are divided into two rival teams, the Hurricanes and Tornadoes. Fighting for bragging rights, these two groups face off in competitions such as Camp Wars, Song Battles, and Capture the Flag (to name a few).
