Student Art on Display in Cofrin Gallery
Mercersburg Academy students in all levels of art classes have contributed to the display in the Cofrin Gallery of the Burgin Center for the Arts, which is available to view from December 1 through January 4. The arts classes featured in the Fall Student Art Show include Digital Photography, Digital Illustration, Painting 1, Painting 2, Drawing 1, Advanced Studies: Studio Art, and Ceramics, as well as architectural work from the Maker’s Lab Springboard course and arrangements from Mixing Music.
The show highlights a breadth of mediums, techniques, and creative voices. Although each student’s piece came from a given assignment, the uniqueness and personal style of the individual artists makes each of their pieces stand out. The work included in this show was created by student artists in their fall term classes, and students from all four of Mercersburg’s grade levels are part of the show, including post-graduates.
A formal opening reception for the show took place December 10 in the Burgin Center for the Arts. The Cofrin Gallery is open daily from 1–6 p.m., or interested patrons can make an appointment with Caretti at 717-328-6206 or firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please note that the campus will be closed December 23 to January 2 for winter break.) All visitors to campus must comply with Mercersburg’s visitor policy.
