No, all alumni, their guests, and friends of the school are welcome to attend for a day or for the whole weekend. Preference for dorm accommodations will be given to alumni in the classes ending in 0 or 5.

Pricing is a la carte, and the weekend is designed to be an affordable getaway. Specific costs can be found using the registration form when available on March 1.

There will be a designated welcome center for attendees to check-in. You will receive an updated schedule for the weekend, your dorm room assignment/room key (if applicable), and other materials. We will let attendees know the location of the welcome center as we get closer to Reunion Weekend.

Please plan to arrive by 8 p.m. on Friday or by 6 p.m. on Saturday. If you arrive after the welcome center has closed, contact Campus Safety at 717-328-1111 to gain access to your dorm room. You will still need to check in at the welcome center the following morning after your arrival.

We anticipate hundreds of guests on campus throughout the weekend. Therefore, to plan accordingly, we ask that all registrants register online. The deadline to register is Thursday, May 15, 2025. Dorm rooms will not be available after online registration closes. If you have questions about this, please contact events@mercersburg.edu or 717-328-6100.

Refunds will be issued until May 16. If you cancel after that, you will have the option to credit the registration fee as a reunion gift to the 2024-2025 Annual Fund.

Dorm rooms include two single beds for two nights. If you plan to share a room with a classmate, be sure to include your roommate preferences on the registration form. Dorm rooms are limited. Therefore, we recommend signing up as soon as registration opens on March 1.

Each room will have basic amenities: sheets, a blanket, a small pillow, a towel, and a washcloth. Toiletries and hangers are not provided. There are no phones or fans in the rooms. All bathrooms are communal. Sleeping bags, air mattresses, and pillows are allowed for young children, and children not using a bed will not be charged the dorm fee when they stay with a paying adult. Remember: this is dorm living! If you have room in your car or suitcase, we recommend bringing an extra blanket or pillows to add some comfort. The rooms have central air. You are unable to control the temperature in your room, therefore, we recommend bringing extra bedding or some layers for sleeping. Please note that there will be no housekeeping services provided in dorm rooms throughout the weekend.

At least one dorm will be designated for families with young children, providing the option of a quieter stay. When you register, please indicate that you want the quiet dorm option. Expectations for staying in this dorm include no alcohol consumption within the dorm and quiet hours after 9 p.m. If you prefer to abstain from alcohol and want to stay on campus, please select the “quiet” lodging option. Yes you can. RV parking is available in the lot next to the Hale Field House, though there are no water or electricity hook-ups. Questions about RV parking can be directed to Campus Safety at 717-328-1111.

Due to liability and safety concerns, alumni and/or their guests may not operate drones and similar aerial devices anywhere on campus.

Not at all. Each meal will include gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. If you have other dietary restrictions, please provide them when you register online—or email reunions@mercersburg.edu.

Children are welcome and the campus is open, however, no childcare is available, so please keep that in mind as you are making plans for the weekend.

Children are welcome to attend the family-friendly activities available each day during Reunion Weekend from 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. However, children are not permitted to attend class dinners and evening events beginning at 6:30 p.m.

For safety reasons, the school is unable to provide onsite childcare and suggests that alumni with children consider using the services of local, accredited organizations that provide adult-supervised childcare. Below is a recommended (non-affiliated) list of childcare options in the area:

Families are welcome to register additional guests with whom they feel comfortable watching their children during the weekend.

The pool, basketball courts, squash center, fitness center, and tennis center will be available for use during designated hours. Be sure to pick up a schedule with facility hours of operation when you visit the welcome center.

Mercersburg Academy is a tobacco-free, marijuana-free, and drug-free campus. Smoking and e-cigarette use are not permitted anywhere on campus. Practice reasonable alcohol consumption at all times. Alcohol consumption is not permitted in the hallways of dormitories, and no glass containers are permitted on campus. At events hosted by the school where alcohol is served, licensed bartenders are required by law to limit consumption and will do so should you appear to be inebriated. Should you choose to bring alcohol to campus, you are fully responsible for outcomes related to any and all cases of overconsumption of said alcohol.

In the case of inclement weather, alternative locations for outdoor events will be posted.

Feel free to park behind Traylor Hall, next to the Burgin Center for the Arts, along Sycamore Lane, in the spaces next to the Irvine Memorial Chapel, in the Hale Field House parking lot, or in any other spaces on campus not marked as reserved or handicapped. Handicapped parking will be available in designated spaces around the quad. (Please observe the signs that restrict parking in the grass in certain areas.) If you haven’t been back to campus in a while, please note that the traffic flow around the quad is one-way.

Most of the campus has wireless Internet. The wireless network is called “Mercersburg,” and you’ll be prompted to register your device and review the terms of service before you log on. Information about how to access the network will be available at the welcome center on campus.

Plan to dress comfortably throughout the weekend, and don’t forget athletic attire if you plan to swim, play tennis or squash, or participate in the morning workouts. Alumni and their guests typically dress in business casual or semi-formal attire for class dinners on Saturday.

You should pack sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, lawn chair(s) for class tents, an umbrella, Pack ’n Play or air mattress (if bringing infants or toddlers), decorations for your class tent, and athletic equipment (if you plan to bike). Remember that dorm rooms are not like hotel rooms: basic linens will be provided (pillow, sheets, blanket, towel, and washcloth), but please bring your own toiletries and personal items. Pets are welcome on campus during Reunion Weekend if visiting for the day or using off-campus accommodations. Please note that pets, except for service animals, are prohibited inside classrooms, office areas, dormitories, or any other school buildings. Service animals are permitted in all areas of the campus with proper documentation. 

If you plan to bring your pet to campus, please ensure that your pet is licensed and has an up-to-date immunization record. Based on the school's policy, pet owners will be held financially responsible for any damage caused by their pet to school property. 

Never leave your pet unattended, always keep it on a leash, and remember to clean up after it.
