Reunion Weekend Makeup Held April 30

Thursday, April 28, 2022

Nearly 200 Mercersburg alumni and their guests from class years ending in 0, 1, 5, and 6 (with the exception of the classes of 1970 and 1971) headed to campus April 30, for the school’s Reunion Weekend Makeup—a party which was up to two years in the making and was hosted by Mercersburg’s Alumni Council.
The event was created to give those alumni whose in-person reunion celebrations were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic in June 2020 and June 2021 a chance to return to campus and celebrate. Though Reunion Weekend was held virtually in both years, there is truly nothing like experiencing Mercersburg in person, and what better time to do so than a nice spring weekend?
Attendees and their guests enjoyed everything from indoor rock climbing and campus tours led by current students to a State of the School Address from Head of School Quentin McDowell P ’25, a tailgate lunch followed by a number of spring athletic events between the Blue Storm and rival Lawrenceville, and food trucks, beer and wine tastings, class photos, and lawn games (just off campus on Church Street).

Members of the classes of 1970 and 1971 will celebrate their 50th reunions on campus June 9–12, when they will be joined by alumni representing classes ending in 2 and 7 for Reunion Weekend 2022.
