Reunion Weekend 2022 June 9-12 Brings Back Alumni, Friends

Thursday, June 9, 2022

More than 600 Mercersburg alumni, families, and friends returned to campus June 9-12 for Reunion Weekend 2022. Classes ending in 2s and 7s as well as the Classes of 1970 and 1971 celebrated reunions, though alumni and guests from a number of Mercersburg class years were back on campus for the four-day event.

Reunion Weekend began Thursday, June 9, with activities ranging from golf at Great Cove Golf Course to a tour of the Antietam National Battlefield. The evening featured the Faculty, Staff, and Alumni Recognition Dinner, which honors alumni award winners and recognizes seven faculty and staff members who have announced their retirements during the 2021-2022 academic year as well as three faculty and staff members who have reached 25 years of service to the school.

Other weekend events included keynote addresses by Kyle Lininger ’02 and Ryan Colby ’07, moderated by Amy Shaffer Post ’02 (Friday) and Katharine Stroup Brooks ’72 (Saturday); a variety of programs and presentations offering a glimpse into life at Mercersburg and the accomplishments of the alumni body; class dinners on Saturday evening; fun, relaxation, and reconnection among friends old and new; dancing and the Class Tent Cup presentation; and to close the weekend, the annual Service of Worship and Remembrance Sunday morning.
