This survey of selected images of Global art through the ages, involving architecture, painting, sculpture and the related arts, follows Advanced Placement guidelines. Reading material, slides, active class discussion, and museum visits are the tools used to aid the student's knowledge. It prepares students to identify art from specific cultures, periods, and styles and develops the ability to verbally articulate the comparison of conceptual themes between cultures and artwork. This course also concentrates on improving the student's writing to be descriptive in a clear and concise format. The course prepares students for the Advanced Placement Exam in Art History.
