In this course, students build on the techniques learned in Painting I, incorporating Elements of Art with Principles of Design working in traditional and non-traditional application of the acrylic medium. The students work primarily from observation to explore composition, perspective, foreshortening, and shading. Creative curiosity is encouraged as students develop visual statements from conceptual themes. In addition, students will construct a custom workable substrate using stretcher bars and canvas for their final painting.
