This course is designed for students who play brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. Students practice performance skills both individually and as an ensemble. Required public performances are an important part of the work for this course. The course encourages an understanding of the aesthetics of music and also teaches the skills of intonation, sight reading, blending, tone quality, and basic musicianship. Students are enrolled into this course upon recommendation of the music faculty.
