Remembering Joe Beauregard ’18 (1999–2018)

Mercersburg Academy mourns the unexpected passing of Joseph Beauregard ’18, who died October 18 in Savannah, Ga. Joe was attending Savannah College of Art and Design and lived in Richmond, Va.
Joe came to Mercersburg as a 10th-grade student and attended Mercersburg for three years. He was active in Stony Batter Players (theatre) and Mercersburg Outdoor Education, was a member of the school’s diving team, served as president of the upper middler (11th-grade) class, and was a Marshall Society officer and declaimer.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 25, from 5–8 p.m. at Bliley's Funeral Home, 3801 Augusta Avenue, Richmond, Va. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 26, at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Avenue, Richmond. A reception will follow the service in the church’s family common area.
This past weekend, Stony Batter Players dedicated three performances of its fall play, She Kills Monsters, to Joe’s memory. The school is also planning a gathering on campus in December to honor Joe. Information will be sent to the Mercersburg Academy community once details are finalized.
