Reunion Weekend 2019 June 6-9 Brings Back Alumni, Friends

More than 800 Mercersburg alumni, families, and friends returned to campus June 6-9 for Reunion Weekend 2019. Classes ending in 4s and 9s celebrated reunions, though alumni and guests from a number of Mercersburg class years came back to campus for the four-day event. The four-day event began with a variety of activities in the area, from golf at Whitetail Golf Resort to a tour and tasting of Knob Hall Winery and an exploratory journey to nearby Antietam National Battlefield, as well as a historic look into the history of the borough of Mercersburg. The evening featured the Faculty, Staff, and Alumni Recognition Dinner, which honored seven alumni award winners and eight faculty and staff members who are retiring or have completed 40 years of service to the school.

Other weekend events included keynote addresses by Robert Naething ’74, P ’01 (Friday) and Rebecca Lowe ’99 (Saturday); a variety of programs and presentations offering a glimpse into life at Mercersburg and the accomplishments of the alumni body; class dinners on Saturday evening; fun, relaxation, and reconnection among friends old and new; dancing and the Class Tent Cup presentation; the annual Service of Worship and Remembrance Sunday morning; and a breakfast honoring retiring faculty members Debbie and Frank Rutherford ’70.
