Student Achievements Honored at End-of-the-Year Awards Dinner

Mercersburg Academy completed the 2018-2019 academic year with a special year-end awards dinner May 30 in Ford Hall. A total of 48 awards were presented to students in the ninth, 10th, and 11th grades for excellence and accomplishment in academics, the arts, athletics, and community engagement.
In all, 54 different students were honored.

Students receiving multiple awards included Sean Fiscus ’20 (LaVale, Md.), Shannon Fan ’20 (Beijing, China), Dylan Gantt ’21 (Atlanta, Ga.), Addie Geitner ’21 (Hickory, N.C.), Terrance Ji ’22 (Shanghai, China), Eric Liu ’22 (Hagerstown, Md.), Emma Shuford ’22 (Hickory, N.C.), Jiachen Sun ’20 (Hangzhou, China), Joie Xiao ’22 (Shanghai, China), and Gary Zheng ’20 (Hangzhou, China).

On May 25, Mercersburg honored the graduating Class of 2019 at its Commencement exercises. Final exams for underclass students were held May 27-31. Most students will depart campus Friday, May 31.
