10 Seniors Announce College Athletic Destinations

Ten more members of Mercersburg’s Class of 2019 announced May 13 the destinations where they will continue their athletic careers in college beginning next fall. The group includes athletes headed to NCAA Division I and Division III institutions, and represents seven states: Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, California, and Washington.

Mandolin Nguyen ’19 (Seattle, Wash.), girls’ swimming, Army
Hugh Robey ’19 (Marshall, Va.), boys’ swimming, Navy
Thomas Russell ’19 (Fairfax, Va.), baseball, Navy
Eli Williams ’19 (Murrieta, Calif.), boys’ swimming, Navy

A total of 21 members of Mercersburg’s Class of 2019 are on their way to college athletics. Previous members of the 120-member class to declare college destinations include Jill Ahlgren ’19 (girls’ lacrosse, Gettysburg College), Garrett Ammons ’19 (football, Gettysburg College), Sam Barnes ’19 (wrestling, Bucknell University), JJ Chou ’19 (boys’ basketball, Chapman University), Tag Curwen ’19 (boys’ swimming, Pomona College), Noah Litzinger ’19 (football, Worcester Polytechnic Institute), Tiffany McGhie ’19 (girls’ basketball, Canisius College), Sam Morgan ’19 (boys’ soccer, West Virginia University), McGee Schnarrs ’19 (football, Susquehanna University), Colby Walker ’19 (boys’ soccer, Catholic University of America), and Ryan Wiley ’19 (football, Trinity [Conn.] College).

Commencement exercises for the Class of 2019 will be held Saturday, May 25.
