A Note from Julie Kaufman Nussdorfer

Hi everyone,

Reunited… and it feels so good!

That's right, folks: in less than 50 days, we'll be together again for our 20th reunion. While time management (ahem, procrastination and cramming) was a skill undoubtedly learned during our days at the 'Burg, I'm writing to urge you to register TODAY! Do not delay as you don't want to miss one of the best weekends of the year.

23 of our classmates have already registered and 31 more are reported as planning to attend. Find a list of who's coming, a registration form, frequently asked questions, and other details at mercersburg.edu/reunionweekend.

I'm most looking forward to catching up with our amazing classmates and hearing about what everyone has been up to for the past 20 years. It will also be great to see Frank and Debbie Rutherford and congratulate them on a combined 80+ years of service to Mercersburg!

At this point, many of us are busy with careers and families of our own. The great thing about the reunion is that it is so family friendly! My two older kids, Jonathan and Alex, can’t wait for the Legacy Campout on Saturday night that is hosted by Mercersburg Summer Programs. Jonathan has participated in the Mercersburg Summer Programs swim clinics for the past two years, and Alex is excited that he is finally old enough to go this year! Additionally, our 18-month-old daughter, Sophie, will be attending the child care program for younger kids that is available on Saturday night. So, there is something for all ages!

One of my favorite things about being back on campus in recent years is seeing all of the wonderful faculty and staff—and they actually remember me from my time as a student! Last year, when we came back to campus to drop off Jonathan for camp, I was able to catch up with Debbie Rutherford, Amy Dickerson Mohr, Jason Bershatsky, and I even got to meet the new head of school, Katie Titus!

It’s been amazing to me how my experience at Mercersburg continues to be meaningful to me and my family in different ways—even 20 years after graduation! I hope that you will join us for the reunion in June, not only to remember our time as students, but also to find new ways that the Mercersburg community can become a special place for you and your family.

Whether you can spend one day or the entire weekend at the ’Burg for our reunion, it will be time well spent! Reunion Weekend is a four-day celebration designed just for us—so come back to join old friends celebrating who we are and where we came from!

See you soon,
