Our 20th reunion is now less than three months away, which means so is our last opportunity to celebrate a Mercersburg reuinion before any of us turns 40! To that end, a beverage of your choosing is on me if you’re the first to figure out who among us crosses that threshold first. Meantime, consider taking advantage of the early-bird, all-inclusive registration savings that expire May 1. See who’s coming and register yourself at mercersburg.edu/reunionweekend. 15 of our classmates have already RSVP’d, and another 36 are reported as planning to attend!
With input from our reunion committee, the school’s putting on an amazing alumni program. There was talk of changing the “19” we’ll find painted on the street back to our graduation year, but we thought better of that. You won’t see mudsliding from the Simon Student Center onto Spider Field on the agenda either. But you can and should expect a host of other more civilized activities designed for us to relax, reconnect, and learn more about what’s happening at Mercersburg today.
Full disclosure: My family and I may be moving that weekend and so I’m still uncertain that I will be in attendance. Perhaps you find yourself in a similar bind. If so, please know there are ways to participate in the celebration of our 20th without being physically present. For example, you could join me in making a gift to the 2018-2019 Annual Fund. Doing so will help ensure that those lucky students who are currently attending Mercersburg will be able to create as many lasting memories and relationships as we did. Plus, you’ll be helping us reach our reunion class-gift goal of 75 donors (50 percent participation. We are 44 donors away from this goal, so if you haven’t already, please join this collective effort today.
Again, if you haven’t registered yet, do so today by visiting the registration web page. June will be here in no time, and I really hope to be there to see as many of you as possible.
P.S. Our committee is planning a “Party Like it’s 1999” theme for our class tent on the quad. Help us decorate by emailing Rache (email@example.com) a picture from 1999 that is not your yearbook picture and a current picture with you or your family. We are collecting ’99 memories to include on our wall.
