Mercersburg Academy’s White Key Executive Council has announced new members for the 2022-2023 academic year. New members include Janet and Everett Eissenstat P ’25, Niki and Ed Friedman P ’25, Ann and John Lewis P ’20, ’21, ’25, and Anju Patel and Sudhir Patel P ’23, ’26.
White Key is the school’s parent volunteer group consisting of 28 members. The group’s mission is to preserve the standards, advance the interests, and promote the welfare of Mercersburg Academy, its students, faculty, staff, and parents, and to foster strong relations among them.
Janet and Everett Eissenstat P ’25 are the parents of Alexander and live in Alexandria, Va. Everett is the former Senior Vice President of Global Public Policy at General Motors. Janet is a consultant at Shamrock Leadership Strategies, Inc. Everett is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a board member at the National Association of Manufacturers. Janet has been a member of Mount Vernon School PTA, a director at White House Fellows Foundation and Association, and a director at the National Down Syndrome Society.
Niki and Ed Friedman P ’25 are the parents of Maxwell and live in Vienna, Va. Ed is the Editor-in-Chief of Shooting Illustrated magazine and a marketing consultant. Niki, a former campaign manager and communications professional, is a full-time mom and volunteers at The Langley School in McLean, Va., and her local synagogue.
Ann and John Lewis P ’20, ’21, ’25 are the parents of Grace, Isabel, and John Jr., and live in Greencastle, Pa. John, a Research Molecular Biologist, is the Chief of Compound Repository and Informatics at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Ann is the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and School Board Secretary for the Tuscarora School District.
Anju Patel and Sudhir Patel P ’23, ’26 are the parents of Arjun and A.J., and live in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, Pa. Sud is a trial lawyer and partner at Fanelli, Evans & Patel, P.C. Law Firm. Anju is a dentist who owns her own practice. Sud is the past president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (“PAJ”) and is currently a trustee of PAJ’s political action committee. He has also recently been appointed to the Judicial Conduct Review Board of Pennsylvania. Sud is a regular speaker at many local schools on issues ranging from teenage distracted driving to social media misuse. Anju received an undergraduate degree in Canada before attending dental school in the United States.
