The Blue Storm took down host Madeira (McLean, VA) 3-1 in a varsity volleyball contest played September 13.

Mercersburg got off to a quick start and won the first set 25-12 before the Snails bounced back to take set two 25-10. The Blue Storm re-grouped and easily won the final two sets by scores of 25-12 and 25-15. Statistically, Mercersburg performed very well with a serve % just under 90, a hitting success rate of .261, and a pass rate of 2.1.

The win gave Mercersburg a 3-1 edge on day one of the M Cup competition as the Blue Storm was victorious in soccer, tennis, and field hockey while the Snails won the field hockey matchup.

Now 2-0 in regular matches, the Blue Storm will travel to Perkiomen School (Pennsburg, PA) for their next contest on Saturday, September 16 at 1 pm.
