Mercersburg made the long drive to the George School (Newtown, PA) October 28 to compete in the first round of the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association volleyball tournament. The Cougars won the match 3-0 and will go on to challenge #2 seed The Academy of Notre Dame (Villanova, PA).

George jumped on top early with a 25-18 win in the first set, but the Blue Storm battled back in the second before losing by a score of 25-21. With momentum on their side, the Cougars finished off the match with a 25-17 win in set three.

Morgan Fisher '23 led the attack at the net with 11 kills while Alli Caretti '26 added 5 kills and 3 blocks. Priscilla Lee '23 was the leader in assists (13) and digs (6) with Charlotte D'Arabian '24 adding 5 digs and Rachel Hull '23 and Eliana Sandy '24 contributing 4 digs each.

The volleyball season is now complete for Mercersburg. The team finished with a 4-10 record.
