Mercersburg fell to host Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA) 3-0 in the quarterfinal round of the PAISAA state volleyball tournament, bringing an end to the season for the Storm.

GA got off to a hot start and showed why they are the #2 seed and defending state champions by quickly winning the first two sets. With powerful serves and control of the play at the net, the Patriots had #7 Mercersburg on its heels, but the Storm fought back and found some rhythm in the third set. Germantown was too strong though, and won the third set to finish the match.

Germantown will face the winner of the match between #3 Agnes Irwin and #6 Perkiomen in the semifinal round. The Storm ends its season with a record of 7-8.
