Mercersburg fell to host Fannett-Metal high school 3-1 in a varsity volleyball match September 24.
The Blue Storm came out strong and won the first set 25-19. But the Tigers ran off three straight wins (25-15, 25-14, and 25-23) to take the match.
Head coach Amy Lyman noted that "The team won the first set but then fell asleep and lost the next two. They showed more spirit in set four, but were unable to claim it. The team stats showed the lackluster performance as they served at only 82%, hit at a .121 and passed at a 1.4."
