The Blue Storm boys' and girls' track teams suited up for the Blair Invite on Saturday, April 22, which featured several MAPL schools as well as other local competitors. Team scores were not kept, but Mercersburg had several outstanding individual performances.

For the boys', Jinwoo Kim '23 placed second in the javelin, discus, and high jump, and was part of the second place 4x100M team. Chuks Ugori '23 placed first in the 400M, ran the 400M leg of the sprint medley (which finished second), and ran another 400M in 4x400M relay (which finished third). Cole Smith '23 won both the 1600M and the 3200M while Haris Yahya '24 took first in the 400M hurdles, and second in the 110M hurdles.

On the girls' side, Hannah King '23 won the 100M hurdles, 400M hurdles, and the high jump. Anne Sehon '25 won the 1600M and placed second in the 400M dash while Ella Blanco '26 won the 3200M and took second in the 1600M.

The entire team returns to action on Wednesday, April 25 with a 4 pm dual meet at MSD in  Frederick, MD, while two relay teams will compete in the Penn Relays later in the week. Those runners are Chuks Ugori, Ken Akiyama '23, Charlie Xu '26 and Winston Watkins '24, who will compete in the boys' 4x400M Relay on Thursday, and Maddie Goodhart '24, Hannah King, Anne Sehon, and Lilly Killinger '26, who will run the girls' 4x400M Relay on Saturday.
