Six members of the Mercersburg squash program competed at the UPenn Junior Gold Tournament October 19 + 20 with three reaching the finals and two emerging as division champions.

Over 400 athletes competed in the event and Mercersburg's Rayyan Khan '27 won the title in the Boys' Under 17 division. This is Khan's first win in a Gold level match (second tournament title overall this fall), and he had to battle back from a 2-0 deficit to win the championship match 3-2. Noe Aceves '25 overcame illness to win the title in the Boys' Under 19 division, his second straight first place finish. Ana Karen Botello '25 knocked off the #1 seed in the Girls' Under 19 draw but lost a tough 3-1 battle in the championship round. Botello continues to climb in the rankings with hopes of making the top 32 and qualifying for upcoming junior championship tournaments.
