McConnellsburg (PA) high school defeated the Blue Storm 4-2 in a varsity softball game played on Spider Field May 9.

Spartans pitcher Roslyn Truax gave up just three hits and struck out 10 Mercersburg hitters to lead McConnellsburg to the win. After Mercersburg took the lead on an RBI single from Larkin Fletcher '26 in the first inning, the Spartans scored single runs in the second, third, fourth, and sixth to build a 4-1 lead. Alli Caretti '26 drove in a run to make it 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth, but the Blue Storm was unable to push any more runs across.

Mercersburg (6-9) hosts St. Maria Goretti (Hagerstown, MD) on Wednesday, May 10 at 4:30 pm.
