Eleven Blue Storm squash players competed in the second annual Mercersburg Academy Junior Silver Squash Tournament in the Davenport Squash Center November 9, and two of those players emerged as champions.

This year's event included twice as many athletes as the inaugural tournament, and drew competitors from all over the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region. Dior Mitchell '26 won a tough 3-1 victory in the finals of the Boys' U19 division while Sid Shah '26 fought off several match points to win a thrilling 3-2 decision in the Boys' U17 final, which lasted for over an hour.

“Overall, it was a fantastic event," said head coach Dominic Benacquista, "filled with high-quality squash. It was exciting to see so many newcomers competing at Mercersburg Academy, and I was delighted to welcome so many fresh faces to our facility. It was also great to see the such strong support among the Mercersburg teammates, whether through volunteer refereeing, coaching, or cheering each other on. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making it happen."
