Hill Defeats Girls' Varsity Lacrosse

Hill got off to a fast start and downed the visiting Blue Storm 14-4 in a MAPL girls' varsity lacrosse game May 13.

The Rams built an 11-1 lead at the half, but Mercersburg re-grouped and the teams were even in goals during the second half. "We struggled to win the draw," said head coach Kristin Ahlgren, "and Hill came out very strong."

Zarreen Sorho '23 scored two goals while sister Zareena '23 had one on an assist from Hailey Chepren '23. Nora Smith '24 had the other goal with an assist from Linley Hill '23.  Scarlett McArthur '24 had five saves.

Mercersburg's regular season concludes with a final record of 10-8, 1-4 in the MAPL. The Storm awaits seeding and opponents for the PAISSA state playoffs later next week.
