Highland School (Warrenton, VA) defeated the visiting Blue Storm 15-7 in a varsity baseball game played on March 29.

The Blue Storm got on the board first as Matt Archibald '23 singled in Caleb Newcomer '23, who had doubled to lead off the first inning. Highland scored five in the second to take the lead, but Mercersburg answered back with three in the third thanks to RBI singles from Ryan MacInnes '23 and Adam Deavers '23, and Grant Williams '25 scoring on a double steal. After Highland extended the lead to 9-4, the Blue Storm responded again with three runs in the fourth, highlighted by a 2-run double from Archibald, but those would be the last runs for Mercersburg and Highland pulled away for the 15-7 win.

Newcomer and Archibald had two hits each to lead the offense for the Storm, who fall to 1-3 on the season. Next up is MAPL doubleheader at Blair Academy (Blairstown, NJ) on Saturday, April 1 at 1 pm.
