Mercersburg fell to visiting Hedgesville (WV) 7-2 in a girls' varsity soccer game September 21.

The Blue Storm jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but the Eagles responded with three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead into the halftime break.

Hedgesville kept up the attack in the second half, but Mercersburg also had opportunities as Hedgesville ended with 24 total shots while Mercersburg had 14. Kyla Moore '24 and Nora Smith '24 scored the goals for the Blue Storm and Emma Hobbs '23 had an assist.  Annie Mohr '26 picked up 14 saves in goal.

In the JV tilt, Cyn Carter '25 scored the lone goal in the Eagles' 3-1 win.

Next up for Mercersburg (1-3) is a home game against Mid-Atlantic Prep League rival Hun School of Princeton on Saturday, September 24 at 1 p.m.
