Mercersburg defeated host Saint James 181-188 in a match played at the Fountainhead Country Club (Hagerstown, MD) October 21.

The sloping greens were a challenge all day for the Storm, but Mathew Gu '27 relied on his short game and chipped it tight a number of times from very difficult positions to post 41. Next in line was MIles New '27 who managed a 45 while Stewart Allan '27 overcame a rough start to card a 46. Cameron Gierasch '26 rounded out the scoring with 49.

"It was a tough day out there for us," said head coach Doug Smith, "and we didn't keep the big scores off the cards. Matthew has shown his game a number of times and this has to be a big confidence boost for him to lead the team in scoring. We have some big matches this weekend and we are gonna put in the work to be ready for them."

The Storm will face off against Kiski and Hill for the Keystone Cup on Saturday, October 26 at 1 pm.  The match will take place at Ligonier (PA) Country Club.
