The Blue Storm golf team traveled to Ligonier (PA) Country Club for the annual Centennial Cup match against Kiski School (Saltsburg, PA) and defeated the Cougars 303-333.

"The weather was dreary with rain, wind and temps in the 50's," said head coach Doug Smith, "but despite the weather the boys were in fine form. Co-captain Argyle Downes '24 was back on top of his game with a tremendous ball striking round that featured numerous brilliant wedge shots en route to posting an even par 70 on the day. Coming in second with a very fine score of 73 was Isaiah Marsaille '24. Next in line was Co-captain Jason Jones '24 who overcame a rough start to score a rock solid 77 playing some excellent golf down the stretch. To round out the scoring, Thomas Marchesi '24 had a tremendous ball striking day and shot a very respectable 83 despite being unable to sink several key putts."

"This was a great response to a lackluster effort last week," continued Coach Smith. "We are beginning to get some depth throughout the lineup.  We know our potential to go really low; 303 is a great score and now I feel we are starting to see our results. We have had some outstanding practice rounds but still haven't hit our peak in matches yet. I am confident the best is still to come from this team."
