Hun rallied from a three goal deficit to defeat the host Blue Storm 13-8 in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League girls' varsity lacrosse game May 6.

Mercersburg controlled the draws and the pace for much of the first half and held a 5-2 lead when Hun called a timeout with 6:06 to play before the half. From that point on, the Raiders used a different strategy in the draw circle, and it immediately paid dividends as they dominated possession for the rest of the half and ran off five quick goals to grab a 7-5 lead entering the break. The Hun momentum continued into the second half as they built a 10-5 lead before the Blue Storm used a timeout to reset. Mercersburg netted two quick goals, but Hun recovered and pulled away for the 13-8 victory.

Zareen Sorho '23 scored four goals for Mercersburg while Zareena Sorho '23 had three and Linley Hill '23 added one. Hailey Chepren '23 had two assists and Scarlett McArthur '24 had a strong game in goal, collecting eight saves.

The Blue Storm (10-6) visits Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA) on Wednesday, May 10 for a 4:15 pm game.
