Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Dominates University High School

Mercersburg won its seventh straight girls' varsity lacrosse contest by defeat University High School (Morgantown, WV) 20-6 April 25 in a game played on the turf at Regents' Field.

Zareena Sorho '23 had a monster game with 8 goals and 5 assists and her sister Zarreen '23 added 4 goals and 2 assists of her own. There was plenty of offense to go around as Hailey Chepren '23 (3 goals, 2 assists), Linley Hill '23 (2 goals, 1 assist), and Cameron Dotson '23 (2 goals) each scored multiple goals. Emerson Lisette '25 picked up the other Blue Storm goal while Maria Rihn '24, Emma Hobbs '23, and Chloe Allis '25 chipped in 1 assist each. Scarlett McArthur '24 had a relatively quiet day in the Mercersburg goal, but came up with 2 saves.

The JV team also hosted University H.S. and lost a tough one by a score of 9-7 to fall to 4-3 on the season.

Now with a record of 9-3, the Blue Storm varsity host Highland School (Warrenton, VA) on Wednesday, April 26 at 4:30 pm.
