Mercersburg cruised to a 5-2 victory over host Hill School in a MAPL girls' varsity tennis match played in Pottstown, PA October 12.

Mercersburg swept the three doubles matches (accumulating one point in the process) and took four of six in singles for the team victory.

The Storm was back to full strength after gutting out a tough win on Wednesday in DC. In doubles, Hisano Enomoto '25 and Mogere Nyakoe '25 (#1) and Cate Daugherty '25 and Maddie Gray '26 (#2) each claimed 8-5 wins while the #3 team of Anezka Pospisilova '26 and Ava Marathe '26 blanked their opponents 8-0. Enomoto (#1), Nyakoe (#2), and Daugherty (#3) all won their singles matches in two straight sets while Marathe pulled out a 10-7 match tiebreak to win at #6.

Now 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the MAPL, Mercersburg travels to Flint Hill School (Oakton, VA) for its next match on Wednesday, October 16 at 4 pm.
