Mercersburg defeated visiting Hun School (Princeton, NJ) 5-2 in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League girls' varsity tennis contest September 28.

The matches were moved inside to the Hale Field House due to the wet conditions at the Smoyer Tennis Center, but the change in venue did not slow down the Storm, who took four of the six singles matches with wins from #1 Hisano Enomoto '25 (8-2), #3 Cate Dougherty '25 (8-6), #5 Anezka Pospisilova '26 (8-0) and #6 Ava Marathe '26 (8-2). Mercersburg took two out of the three doubles matches to earn the point there as Enomoto teamed with Mogere Nyakoe '25 for an 8-2 win at #1 and Dougherty paired with Maddie Gray '26 to pull out a dramatic 9-8 (7-5) at #2.

The win was the third straight for the Storm, who now sit at 4-2 overall (2-1 MAPL). Next up is another MAPL match at Lawrenceville (NJ) on Saturday, October 5 at 2 pm.
