The girls' varsity tennis team opened the season with an exciting 7-6 win over visiting Bishop Ireton high school (Alexandria, VA) on the Smoyer Tennis Courts September 1.

The two teams split the four doubles' contests with Hisano Enomoto '25 and Mogere Nyakoe '25 taking an 8-2 win at the #1 slot while Emily Tan '24 and Bella Tai '25 won the #4 match by a score of 8-4. In singles, the Storm took five of the nine matches with Enomoto (#1), Cate Dougherty '25 (#4), Ava Marathe '26 (#6), Anezka Pospisilova '26 (#7) and Tai (#8) all pulling out wins.

Mercersburg (1-0) hosts Pennington School (Pennington, NJ) on Saturday, September 9 at 1 pm.
