Mercersburg defeated visiting St. Catherine's School (Richmond, VA) 5-4 in a girls' varsity squash match February 7.

The top four players of Ana Karen Botello '25, Avallina Orfield '25, Mogere Nyakoe '25 and Sarah Howley '26 all picked up wins as did Jolie Zhu '26 in the #6 slot. Head coach Mike Sweeney noted that, "On a day when both teams were missing key players, Mercersburg dug deep and clawed their way to a win. Both #2 Avallina Orfield and #6 Jolie Zhu were down match ball, but found the path to 5-4 victories."

Now on a five-game winning streak, the Storm will host Potomac School (McLean, VA) on Thursday, February 13 at 4 pm.
