Girls' V Lacrosse Tops Saint James

The girls' varsity lacrosse team visited Saint James (Hagerstown, MD) on April 11 and came home with a 13-9 victory.

A balanced offensive attack saw seven different players find the net led by Alisha Thurmond '26 with four goals and an assist. Emerson Lissette '24 had two goals and two assists while Nora Smith '24 and Chloe Allis '24 each had two goals and one assist. Sarah Howley '25, Maria Rihn '24, and Emma Diianni '25 each scored once with Howley tacking on two assists.

On the defensive front, goalie Scarlett McArthur '24 recorded eleven saves and Hadley Frey '26 caused three turnovers and picked up one ground ball. Smith and Thurmond were strong in the draw circle winning eight and seven draw controls respectively and Smith also did a great job shutting down the Saints' strongest player.

Head coach Kristin Ahlgren commented, "We are continuing to improve and happy to come away with the W."

Next up for the 3-4 Storm is a MAPL contest at Pennington (NJ) on Saturday, April 13 at 1 pm.
