Girls’ V Lacrosse Scores 17 on Gettysburg

Mercersburg’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team jumped out to a 13-0 halftime lead against visiting Gettysburg Area High School and went on to a 17-1 victory over the Warriors in a non-conference contest played April 13 at Regents’ Field.

The Blue Storm improved to 5-4 on the season with the win, and got goals from 11 different players.

Zarreen Sorho ’23 had three goals and an assist, while Linley Hill ’23 tallied two goals and three assists. Bridget Ahlgren ’22 added three goals and Zareena Sorho ’23 contributed two goals. Sammy Titus ’23 had a goal and three assists, and Cameron Dotson ’23 chipped in a goal and an assist. Single goals were scored by Hailey Chepren ’23, Maddie Schermerhorn ’22, Emma Hobbs ’23, Emerson Lissette ’24, and Chloe Allis ’25. Savannah Poe ’23 added an assist.

Leilani Isel-Register ’24 had three saves and she led a defensive effort that allowed just the single Gettysburg goal.

Mercersburg returns to action Tuesday, April 19, on the road at Episcopal High School. Face-off is set for 4 p.m. in Alexandria, VA.
