Mercersburg defeated Madeira (McLean, VA) 21-3 in a girls' varsity lacrosse game played on Regents' Field April 14.
The Sorho sisters Zareena '23 (8 goals, 3 assists) and Zarreen '23 (5 goals) each broke the career 100-point barrier for goals and assists during the Blue Storm's offensive explosion. Linley Hill '23 also had 5 goals (and two assists) and Hailey Chepren '23 scored twice while dishing out a team-high 7 assists. Cameron Dotson '23 scored the other Mercersburg goal and Nora Smith '24 and Emerson Lissette '24 each picked up an assist. Scarlett McArthur '24 stopped four shots in the Blue Storm goal.
The win was the third straight for Mercersburg and brings their record to 5-3. In a quick turnaround, the Blue Storm hosts National Cathedral School (Washington, DC) on Saturday morning, April 15, at 9:30 am.
