Girls' V Lacrosse Falls to Episcopal High School

Episcopal High School (Alexandria, VA) came to Mercersburg March 23 and knocked off the Blue Storm girls' varsity lacrosse team by a score of 10-8.

The first half was filled with back and forth action, and ended with the teams tied at 4. Episcopal went on a run midway through the second half, winning most of the draws, and controlling possession to build a 9-5 lead. Mercersburg battled back and cut the lead to two with two minutes to play, but that was as close as they came and the game ended 10-8.

Zarreen Sorho '23 led the offense with three goals and an assist while Hailey Chepren '23 picked up two goals and two assists. Zareena Sorho '23, Linley Hill '23, and Emma Hobbs '23 each scored a goal with Sorho adding two assists and Hill one. Cameron Dotson '23 did a great job in the defensive end for the Blue Storm and Leilani Isel-Register '24 had an outstanding game in goal, recording double-digit saves.

Mercersburg (1-1) hosts St. John's Catholic Prep (Frederick, MD) on Saturday, March 25 at 1 pm.
