Girls' V Lacrosse Downs NCS for Fourth Straight Win

Mercersburg defeated visiting National Cathedral School (Washington, DC) 17-9 in a girls' varsity lacrosse game April 15.

Rain delayed the start, but the teams still played in a downpour for much of the contest. Linley Hill '23 scored 5 goals and added 5 assists to lead the offense and join the Blue Storm 100 career-point club (she finished at 105 career points) a day after the Sorho sisters pulled off the same achievement. Hailey Chepren '23 had 4 goals and 4 assists while Zarreen Sorho '23 also had 4 goals with 1 assist. Zareena Sorho '23 had 1 goal with a team-high 6 assists while Emerson Lissette '24 chipped in 2 goals and Nora Smith '24 added 1. Scarlett McArthur '24 had another strong game in goal and collected 7 saves.

The 6-3 Storm will try to keep the winning streak going when they visit Shipley School (Bryn Mawr, PA) on Wednesday, April 19 at 4:30 pm.
