Mercersburg defeated visiting Lawrenceville (NJ) 44-39 February 13 to advance to the semifinals in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League girls' basketball tournament.

The third-seeded Storm came up with a hard-fought 12-point win over the #6 Big Red in their regular season game a month ago, and tonight's contest was an even tougher battle. Mercersburg had leads of between three and six points at the quarter marks and held on for the victory despite scoring just seven points in the final period. Nicole Leung '26 led the Storm with 14 points while Molly Castellanos '25 had 9.

Next up is a semifinal matchup against #2 seed Hun on Saturday, February 15 at 5 pm. The MAPL semifinals and finals will he hosted by Lawrenceville. This will be the third meeting of the season between Hun and Mercersburg with the Raiders having won the previous two contests.
