Mercersburg upped its girls' varsity basketball record to 10-5 with a 45-31 victory over host Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD January 25.

Both teams were stone cold in the first quarter, which ended with Mercersburg on top 8-2. The Storm steadily built the lead to eight by halftime, ten after the third quarter, and then the fourteen-point final margin. Madison Goodhart '24 had a big night, scoring a game-high 18 points. Annie Mohr '26 added 8 points and Alli Caretti '26 chipped in 6.

Mercersburg now plays three straight MAPL games, which will help determine the seeding positions for the upcoming MAPL Championships. The first of those games is on the road at Peddie School (Hightstown, NJ) on Saturday, January 27 at 1 pm.
