Playing its second game in less than 18 hours, Mercersburg’s girls’ varsity basketball team got 16 points from Rachel Hull ’23 and 14 points from Maddie Goodhart ’24 in a 48–43 win over Hill in the consolation round of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League Tournament February 19 in Blairstown, NJ. 

The Blue Storm led 27-16 at halftime, and avenged a loss earlier this season to Hill by downing the Blues. Cate Vickery ’22 added 10 points for the victors.

Mercersburg heads to Bryn Mawr (near Philadelphia) to visit Baldwin School in the first round of the PAISAA Commonwealth Cup Tuesday, February 22, at 4:30 p.m.

The Storm (7-12) hosts St. Maria Goretti next Saturday, February 26, in its regular-season and home finale (1 p.m.).
