Girls' Squash Teams Sweep NCS
Mercersburg travelled to Washington, DC January 7 for varsity and JV squash matches against the National Cathedral School. The varsity squad came away with a 7-2 win while the JV won by a score of 6-2.
Emilia Falconi '23 at #1, Martina Vega '23 at #2, Greta Lawler '23 at #3, and Jamie Hyung '23 at #6 all won in 3-0 sweeps. Hisano Enomoto '23 (#5) and Mogere Nyakoe '26 (#8) won 3-1 while Coco Zhai '24 pulled out a 3-2 victory at #4.
The varsity now has a record of 5-2 while this was the first official competition for the JV group. Next up for the varsity is a visit to Agnes Irwin School (Philadelphia) on Wednesday, January 11 at 4:15. The JV team travels to Episcopal High School (Alexandria, VA) on Thursday, January 12 for a 5 pm match.
