Mercersburg finished third in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League girls' golf tournament, held at the Bedens Brook Country Club in Skillman, NJ May 8.
Blair Academy easily took first place with three of the top four individual scores and a team total of 332. Hill finished second with 373 while the Blue Storm score of 388 put them well ahead of Lawrenceville, Peddie, and Hun. Amanda Xi '25 was once again the low scorer for Mercersburg with a 90.
"The girls didn't quite have their best today," said head coach Doug Smith, "but they all battled and were able to finish with third place in the conference. Amanda is showing that her game travels and she can score on a variety of courses. We have a bit to go to reach our goals but I will tell you that this team cares and has real fight. We have states still ahead of us and I hope we can put it all together."
Mercersburg will finish its season at the PAISSA state tournament on Thursday, May 18 at Merion Golf Club in Haverford, PA.
