Girls' Cross Country Finishes Strong at Bloser Invitational

Gabby Cechini '28 took first place overall to lead the girls' cross country team to a third place showing in the Ben Bloser Invitational September 21, hosted by Big Springs high school (Newville, PA).

Cechini finished the race a full minute ahead of her nearest competitor with a time of 19:01.9! Anne Sehon '25 also ran a great race, officially finishing 5th out of more than 200 runners. Ella Blanco '26, Maddie Chu '27, and Teresa Nyarko '28 all landed in the top 75 as the Storm took third place in the 28-team field.

Head coach Betsy Cunningham commented, "We are just astonished at the hard work this team is willing to do in order to perform at their highest level. Today, in a huge field, it was great fun to watch some of our girls be right out in the front. But, what was also fun, was to watch their teammates screaming and cheering for them. This is a team that is close and supportive. That will make us successful in the long run.  I am so proud of all of my team."
