Mercersburg hosted a boys' and girls' cross country meet on a rain-soaked course October 14, and both teams came away with second place finishes.

Anne Sehon '25 was the top finisher for the girls team in third place with Leah Willis '24 fifth and Erika Sowah '24 tenth with a lifetime PR by 30 seconds. Those three received medals by placing in the top ten while Susanna Huang '27, Ellie Kim '24, Ava Kim '26, and Annie Wu '27 joined Sowah in running lifetime PR's. Georgetown Day won the team championship by placing six runners in the top nine spots.

Winston Watkins '25 was the individual winner of the boys' race, but Georgetown Day took six of the next eight places for the team title. Jake Cruikshank '24 (5th) and Bryson Brown '24 (7th) joined Watkins as medal winners for the Blue Storm boys' squad.

Both teams will compete in the MAPL Championships at Peddie on Wednesday, October 25 with the boys also racing a dual meet at Kiski on Wednesday, October 18 at 4:30 pm.
