Mercersburg defeated host Randolph-Macon Academy (Front Royal, VA) 30-8 to open the 2022 KSFL Football season September 17.

The offense got off to a rocky start with fumbles on its first two possessions, but things started to click and the Blue Storm eventually racked up over 350 yards on offense led by Luke Golumbic '23, Ryan MacInnis '23 and Adrian Rios '25.

Mercersburg's defense was sharp the whole game with MacInnis, Danny Adusei-Poku '23, and Zeke Wadlington '23 shutting down the RMA attack. Max Strauss '25 came up with a big interception to end one Yellow Jackets' drive.

Head coach Andy Brown said "This was a good team win, and we are looking to improve our play as we go into this week against Maryland School of the Deaf."

Mercersburg travels to Frederick, MD for the game against MSD, under the lights on Friday, September 23 at 7 p.m.
