Eight Straight Wins for Girls' Varsity Lacrosse

The Blue Storm was once again dominant in a 22-5 girls' varsity lacrosse win over visiting Highland School (Warrenton, VA) April 26.

Twelve different players scored goals as Mercersburg spread the offense around and accumulated a whopping seventeen assists among those twenty-two goals. Zareena Sorho '23 was once again the scoring leader with six goals and two assists with Hailey Chepren '23 adding four goals and a game-high five assists. Linley Hill '23 and Zarreen Sorho '23 each had two goals and four assists while Emma Hobbs '23 and Lexi Chepren '26 each had a goal and an assist. Emerson Lissette '24, Nora Smith '24, Cameron Dotson '23, Maria Rihn '24, Chloe Allis '25, and Delia McCabe '25 completed the scoring with one goal apiece. Scarlett McArthur '24 picked up four saves in goal.

The JV team followed up with an equally dominant performance, defeating the Jefferson Juniors Club team (Shenandoah, Jct. WV) 14-2 to bring its season record to 5-3.

Mercersburg's varsity (10-3) plays at Mid-Atlantic Prep League powerhouse Lawrenceville (NJ) on Saturday, April 29 at 2 pm while the JV squad visits Park School (Baltimore) on Tuesday, May 3 at 5:45 pm.
