Mercersburg defeated Lawrenceville 4-3 in a boys' varsity tennis match played at the Smoyer Tennis Center May 10.

The win was the Storm's first over Lawrenceville in at least 25 years and capped a solid regular season for the team. Max Zhang '26 and Simon Brennan '26 continued their stellar play with a big 8-4 win in #1 doubles in front of a huge throng of spectators. Their victory gave Mercersburg the crucial point in doubles and the teams then split the six singles matches, giving the Storm the overall 4-3 win. Zhang and Brennan also won their singles matches by scores of 8-3 and 8-4 respectively. Oscar Su '25 and Dave Nguyen '24 battled hard but came up short in their matches.

Mercersburg finished the regular season 7-6 and will host the MAPL tournament on Saturday, May 11 beginning at 9 am.
